Big Calgary Companies are Cutting Holiday Parties

The era of big-ticket corporate holiday bashes appears to be on the outs in Calgary. David Howard, president of The Event Group in the city says, “We produce events across North America and everywhere else we’re fine, but in Calgary we’re down 80%.” This year, Calgary companies seem to be cutting back even further than before – even cancelling parties altogether- as layoffs and low oil prices continue to effect the city.
